KARACHI: Sindh bans 135 provocative speakers. The Sindh government has decided to take major action against provocative speakers during Muharram. In this regard, the Sindh Home Department has imposed a 60-day ban on 135 provocative speakers across the province, PakTopic’s.com Reported.
Sindh bans 135 provocative speakers According to a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department, the decision was taken over fears of sectarian activities and on the recommendation of senior police officials.
Under the ban, the listed individuals will not be allowed to leave the limits of their respective police stations during Muharram 2026. The restrictions will also apply to provocative speeches shared on social media and electronic media.
The government says these measures have been taken to maintain peace during Muharram and to stop the spread of sectarian tension in the province.
Sindh bans 135 provocative speakers. The individuals placed under the ban have been directed to submit surety bonds of good behaviour before the concerned district SSPs. Any violation of the order will be dealt with under the Sindh Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance.
The Sindh Home Department has also sent copies of the order to the IG, commissioners and all SSPs across the province.
According to the official notification, the ban will come into effect immediately and will remain enforced for the next 60 days.
The individuals included in the ban list will have the right to file an appeal before the Government of Sindh.

Authorities have also increased monitoring in sensitive areas and directed all concerned departments to remain alert during the holy month.
