
ISLAMABAD: PTI demands end to Petroleum Levy. PTI’s Malik Aamir Doggar demanded withdrawal of Rs123/- Petroleum Development on the petroleum products to extend relief to the people.
Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, the PTI MNA raised concerns over a possible new telecom-related bill.He said the proposed legislation could give telecom companies powers to acquire citizens’ property for tower installation purposes.Calling the bill unfortunate, he said the government should provide a proper clarification to the National Assembly over the matter.PakTopic.Com The PTI lawmaker also supported the Senate’s proposal to increase the salaries of government employees across the country.He urged the government to raise salaries by at least 15 percent to provide relief to public sector workers.The PTI MNA also called for immediate progress on the Iran gas pipeline project and related energy cooperation.He further demanded that Pakistan should start importing petroleum products from neighboring Iran to reduce pressure on local markets.In addition, he urged the government to remove taxes on agricultural machinery to support farmers and improve farming activity.He also demanded more funds for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway and asked the government to begin construction this year.PakTopics.com reported that the PTI MNA raised these demands while speaking on public relief, infrastructure and economic issues.
