A spokesperson for the US vice president has told the Reuters news agency that Vance has now landed in Switzerland.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with a high-level delegation of Pakistan, have departed for Switzerland for high-level talks between US and Iran following the Islamabad MoU, Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

US Vice President JD Vance wtook off for Switzerland on Saturday for talks with Iran on implementing a deal to end the Middle East war, saying negotiators would discuss the Islamic republic’s nuclear program and the Lebanon ceasefire.
“I think we’re going to hopefully make progress on the nuclear issue, make progress on the Lebanon ceasefire issue. Those are the two big things that I think we’re to be focused on,” Vance told reporters before departing from Joint Base Andrews, saying he could only join the talks “for a day or two.”

President Donald Trump warned Saturday that the United States could impose tolls on the vital Strait of Hormuz waterway if negotiators are unable to complete a deal to end the war in Iran.
There will be no tolls “unless they are imposed by and for the United States of America, should the deal not be completed, for services rendered as the Guardian Angel to the countries of the Middle East for purposes of both past, present, and future reimbursement of costs,” Trump posted on Truth Social. Iranian delegation has arrived in Switzerland for peace talks with the United States.
The delegation is led by Iranian Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi landed in Iran on Saturday to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials, as Pakistan works to keep US-Iran negotiations on track following the electronic signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to end the war in the Middle East.
According to APP and several other news outlets, Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi soon after landing.

Switzerland continues to provide a “discreet and ‌reliable setting” at Bürgenstock to facilitate discussions on implementing a ⁠memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran, the Swiss foreign ministry said on Saturday.
It added ‌in ⁠a statement that no further details would be disclosed ⁠about participants and the content of ⁠the talks, citing confidentiality.

Israeli strikes killed 16 people in Lebanon on Saturday, hours after a truce took effect, with Israel saying it was responding to attacks from Hezbollah and the Iran-backed group ‌saying it would not allow Israel “freedom of movement” in Lebanon.
A halt to fighting in Lebanon is a condition for starting 60 days of U.S.-Iranian talks on Tehran’s nuclear program and other issues key to forging a more durable deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and stabilize global oil supplies. It was not clear when those talks might begin.
Wednesday’s interim U.S.-Iran deal requires both countries and their allies to stop military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
But Israel, left out of the talks, says it is not party to the deal, and will keep its forces in the Lebanese erritory it occupies.
A U.S. official had said the truce took effect at 4 p.m. (1300 GMT) on Friday, and Israeli and Hezbollah sources confirmed the agreement to Reuters.
